Free dividend yield calculator for Korean and U.S. stocks, powered by real SEIBro and SEC EDGAR filing data. Collected and verified directly from official government sources.
The yield looks different from what my brokerage shows.
Most brokerages display yield based on the prior year's dividends. Here you can choose from multiple periods — 3M, 6M, 12M, YTD, and prior year — so the numbers will naturally differ. Selecting "Prior Year" will be the closest match to what brokerages typically show.
What exchange rate is used?
We pull the Bank of Korea (BOK) official base rate every morning. It's the same rate used by Korean financial institutions. Keep in mind that actual forex conversion will include a bid-ask spread on top of this.
Does DRIP simulation include taxes?
No, taxes aren't applied. In reality, dividends are withheld at source — roughly 15% for most US stocks and 15.4% for Korean stocks — which reduces the amount actually available to reinvest.
My monthly ETF only shows 11 payments this year.
Dividends are counted by ex-dividend date, not payment date. If an ex-date falls on December 31, it gets counted in the current year even if the cash arrives in January. Some ETFs also shift their schedules slightly, so an off-by-one count is more common than you'd expect.
The data seems off.
Special dividends or stock dividends can make the yield look unusually high. Check the dividend history chart to see whether it's an outlier. If something genuinely looks wrong, email us at super@yieldtiny.com and we'll look into it.
How often is the data updated?
Korean stocks are polled from SEIBro every 15 minutes. US stocks are synced daily based on SEC EDGAR filings. New dividend announcements are usually reflected on the same day they're published.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, an iOS app is available on the App Store. It has the same calculator and history features as the web version, plus a long-press screenshot function to quickly capture and share your results.
